Caledon Pro

The wait pays.

Caledon Pro is a volume flooring program for custom home builders. Plan your flooring 12 to 15 weeks ahead, and your local Caledon dealer can supply the same flooring, with the same warranty, for a better price.

The short version

Caledon Pro is a volume program for builders, supplied through the Caledon dealer near your project. If you need flooring now, you get volume pricing from Caledon's Canadian inventory. If you can plan 12 to 15 weeks ahead, we add your flooring to an upcoming factory order and pass the savings on.

Who is Caledon Pro for?

Caledon Pro is built for residential custom home builders in BC and Alberta who buy flooring in volume.

It suits builders who know their schedule a few months out and would rather plan the flooring early than pay for the cost of flooring that has sat in inventory for months.

If your project needs 2,000 square feet of flooring or more, it is worth a conversation.

How does it work?

There are two ways to use Caledon Pro. If you need flooring right away, your local Caledon dealer can supply it from Caledon's Canadian inventory at volume pricing. If you can plan ahead, this is how it works:

  1. 01Tell us about the project: the flooring you are interested in, the approximate square footage, when you need it, and the project city.
  2. 02We put together a price for your project and connect you with the Caledon dealer near the job. If you already work with a Caledon dealer, tell us and we will work through them.
  3. 03Your Caledon dealer places the order and takes a deposit to reserve your flooring.
  4. 04Caledon adds your flooring to an upcoming factory order.
  5. 05About 12 to 15 weeks later, your flooring arrives and your dealer supplies it for the job and supports you through it.

What can I order?

Origins engineered hardwood in a living room

Caledon Pro covers the existing colours in four Caledon collections:

Caledon dealers display and promote these collections, so you can see the floors and the colours in person before you commit.

What is the minimum, and how long does it take?

The minimum is 2,000 square feet.
Timing is approximately 12 to 15 weeks. The exact timing depends on factory production, ocean freight, and when your order is placed relative to the next shipment.
Pricing is quoted per project. The larger the order, the more room there is to save.

Why does planning ahead cost less?

Flooring that sits in inventory costs money, and that cost ends up in the price.

When Caledon buys flooring for inventory, we take on the financial risk. We pay for the flooring. We import it. We store it. We finance it. And then we wait for someone to buy it.

Every one of those steps costs something, and every month the flooring waits adds to it.

When you plan ahead, much of that cost and risk goes away. The flooring is already spoken for before it arrives, so we are not financing it, storing it or holding it for months.

That saves us money. We pass those savings on to you.

Same flooring. Same warranty. A better price because you planned ahead.

What happens to my deposit?

A deposit, paid through your Caledon dealer, reserves your flooring.

If the shipment has not been released within the agreed period, you choose: keep waiting, or take your deposit back in full.

We think that is the fair way to do it. You are giving us time, so the risk of a delay should not sit with you.

Who is behind Caledon Pro?

Rob is one of the owners of Caledon Floors, based in Vancouver. He has spent most of his career in the flooring business and has made more than 100 visits to flooring factories in China. Caledon Pro comes from what he has seen on those factory floors: the price of flooring has a lot to do with how long it sits before it reaches a job site.
