Longboard calm. Quiet underfoot, quietly sophisticated.
Nordic Maple is the palest tone in the Monolith range, a cool, creamy blonde with a soft, straight grain and very little knotting. It has the light, quiet look of Scandinavian maple, more neutral than golden, and stays consistent from plank to plank rather than showing heavy character marks.
Nordic Maple is built on Monolith's longboard WPC format: 60.23" x 7.16" x 7.5mm planks with a rigid, fully waterproof composite core and a 1.5mm EVA pad attached underneath, so there is no separate underlay to install. The core holds up well to normal residential use; it does not dent or compress underfoot. Planks click together with Uniclic locking, the surface has a Cathedral texture, and the floor is GreenGuard Gold certified for low chemical emissions, a profile that can also support sustainable building credit requirements on projects that track indoor air quality. Monolith is also rated STC 71 and IIC 73, independent measures of how much airborne and impact sound a floor assembly blocks from reaching the room below, useful information for condos, apartments, and any upper floor over a shared space.
Where it works: Nordic Maple's light, cool tone works well in smaller or lower light rooms that need to feel brighter and larger, and it pairs easily with white, grey, or soft blue cabinetry and walls. It also suits condos and apartments, both for its light, neutral look and for the acoustic benefit of the STC 71 and IIC 73 rating in a shared building.
